Online GPC-GCMS System

Recent years have seen trends toward increased control of pesticides in foods and an increased number of agricultural products being targeted for measurement. This demands automated pretreatment and more rapid analysis of residual pesticides in foods. To further develop rapid analysis methods for residual pesticides, Shimadzu developed an Online GPC-GCMS Prep-Q screening system by making an online connection of a GPC cleanup system to a GC/MS. An example of the Prep-Q analysis of a potato spiked with pesticides is introduced below.

Prep-Q System

Prep-Q System GC/MS to promote automation. It realizes quicker, labor-saving screening analysis of residual pesticides in food.

GPC Cleanup System

This is the GPC pretreatment unit as a free-standing system. It performs GPC cleanup in compliance with the rapid analysis methods for residual pesticides. The pesticide fractions obtained by the pretreatment system provide samples for GC/MS and GC analysis.
