Analyzing Contaminants

Recycled plastics can also include contaminants that inadvertently became intermingled with the plastic during collection. Such contaminants presumably affect the mechanical properties of recycled materials. Identifying the contaminants and investigating how they became mixed with the collected materials can be helpful for manufacturing higher-quality recycled plastics.
