If it is believed that hydrogen gas has accumulated, carefully eliminate the accumulated gas. If the gas chromatograph is turned on inadvertently without removing the accumulated hydrogen gas, there is a danger of explosion. The stop valve should be inspected at least once every two years. If a leak is discovered, contact your Shimadzu representative for replacement. Apply gas leak detection liquid (not SNOOP or any other detergent! 50% methanol/water is a suitable frothing liquid) to all joints and check for leaks. |
