- Saigo Becomes the Second Japanese Player to Win LPGA Rookie of the Year
In a remarkable achievement, Saigo wins the 2024 LPGA Rookie of the Year award following her debut season on the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) tour. Her performance throughout the year featured two second-place finishes and seven top-10 finishes. Congratulations to her on this accomplishment!
This historic win marks the first time in 34 years that a Japanese player has received this honor, making her only the second to do so. We look forward to seeing her continued success in the upcoming season. -

- Tied for Second at the Buick LPGA Shanghai (-19)
In this tournament, Saigo was in contention for the top spot from day one, ultimately finishing with a score of 19 under par and tying for second place. Although she didn't secure her first win, it was her debut playing in the final group on the last day of the U.S. Tour. She also achieved a top-five finish for the second consecutive week. We will be cheering her on as she continues her pursuit of higher positions in the upcoming rounds and beyond!

- Tied for Fourth at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G (-14)
Saigo finished in the top 10 for the sixth time this season. In the second half of the final day, she made five birdies, including three in a row, but fell three strokes short and tied for fourth place. We look forward to her performance on the Asian Tour, which starts in two weeks.

- Tied for Seventh at the AIG Women’s Open in Scotland (-2)
In the final major of the season, Saigo maintained her top 10 position from day one and finished in a tie for 7th place, despite the difficult course, the Old Course at St Andrews. We look forward to her next performance at the FM Championship (Aug. 29-Sep. 1, TPC Boston, Massachusetts)!

- Finished in Second Place at the CPKC Women’s Open (-11)
On the third day, starting from 46th place, Saigo played an outstanding round of golf! She quickly rose to 3rd place with her best round.
On the final day, she continued to battle for the lead, and although she narrowly missed out on the win, she finished in 2nd place, her best finish ever. It was a great performance of golf that foreshadowed her first overseas win!
We are rooting for her to win the next round, the Portland Classic (August 1-4, Oregon, USA). -

- Tied for Eighth at the Dow Championship in Michigan, USA (-16)
Saigo was paired with a Korean professional golfer who has been playing on the US tour this season as well as her. The pair tied for 8th place with a total of 16 under par.
Saigo has achieved a top 10 finish for the second consecutive week.
We expect her to continue her success in the next round, the Amundi Evian Championship (France, July 11-14)! -

- Tied for Seventh at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in Washington, USA
Starting the final day in 31st place, Saigo was mesmerizing! She finished tied for Seventh all at once, her second top ten finish at an overseas major.
The next round will be the Dow Championship (June 27-30, Michigan, USA), which will be the first pairs match.
We are rooting for her to keep the momentum going and aim for the top! -

Saigo started the final day tied for 21st. She finished in a tie for 8th place with 5 birdies to finish in the top 10 for the first time this season.

On the final day, Saigo began the day three strokes behind the leaders. Despite hitting with strong winds, she finished in a tie for 13th with 4 under, the best among Japanese players! The next round is the Ford Championship presented by KCC (March 28-31, Arizona, USA). Go for your first win on the US Tour!

Saigo has been in good form with under-par rounds for all four days. She almost made the top 10 at one point with her consistent shots and she made a spectacular shot-in eagle on the 14th hole on the final day.

- Finished in Second Place at the Daikin Orchid Ladies Golf Tournament, the Season Opener on the Japan LPGA.
The Daikin Orchid Ladies Golf Tournament is a memorable one for Saigo who won her first domestic one in 2022. She fought for the lead with Chisato Iwai on the final day. Saigo unfortunately finished in 2nd place but she had an excellent performance with under-par rounds for all four days and setting a new tournament record.
