Lighting up the Head Office Building in Pink - October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Shimadzu Corporation has been promoting Pink Ribbon campaign to help raise awareness of breast cancer, and to increase the number of women who take breast cancer screenings.
As part of Pink Ribbon campaign, Shimadzu lit up the Head Office building in pink.

To express the support for Pink Ribbon campaign, our project team lit up the Head Office building in pink from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm from October 1 to 7.
This is the 5th year, started from 2017.
Message from the Person in Charge of the Shimadzu Pink Ribbon Campaign
The person in charge made the following comments:
5 years have passed since the start of Pink Ribbon campaign in Shimadzu. I have reached the age at highest risk for breast cancer. During mammography, I surely understand that relaxing reduce the pain, but I am always tensed. I will undergo the exam again this year, both for myself and my family.
Shimadzu will continue to promote Pink Ribbon campaign, to ensure healthy life for employees, their families and loved ones, as well as everyone around the world.
