New Members Join Our Sports Teams “SHIMADZU Breakers”!
Six new members join the SHIMADZU Breakers baseball team.
This article introduces new members of our tennis, rugby and baseball team under the name of SHIMADZU Breakers! All three teams take on new challenges toward their goals under the new order.
Tennis team
Anri Nagata has joined SHIMADZU Breakers as a professional player. She turned pro last November when she was a university student. She will participate in various international competitions, aiming to compete in the Grand Slam (the four major tournaments). Also, as for the team, she is expected to be a new force to win the Japan Tennis League title, which the team regained last year!

Anri Nagata
She was ranked in the top 100 in the World Tennis Tour Junior Rankings for players under 18 and participated in the world’s four major tournaments for junior players. After entering Keio University, she has performed well in Japan and abroad, including advancing to the semifinals in doubles in the All Japan Tennis Championships. Armed with her polished skills and a variety of shots with her long limbs, she plays well against the world players.

Rugby team
This year marks the team's 35th anniversary of its foundation. All 33 players, including six newcomers, are working together to win the Top West A-League.
The team’s slogan of this year is "Attitude," and we place a high value on our attitude toward the games to work hard to achieve our goals at both work and rugby. We will deepen our bonds between players and staff and never give up as one team. Thank you for your continued support of us!
Keitaro Kono
He excels at his precise line-out throw and locomotor ability to cover a huge area of the field.

Kaito Nishimura
He controls the game with high skills and strategic vision while keeping calm and passionate during the game. He was selected as a candidate for the U-20 Japan National Team when he was a university student.

Yuji Kataoka
He creates an attacking rhythm with a fast and accurate passing technique that makes a ball reach his teammates.

Shoma Hasegawa
He plays at the forefront of the scrum with his strong physicality.

Shunsuke Osawa
He is expected to be a key of the line-out to take advantage of his experience as a backs player with excellent handling skills.

Keijiro Yamanaka
He always adheres to the basics both in offensive and defensive skills. He dives into the ball on the field to retain its possession in the game.

Comment:I am still physically small as a rugby player yet, but I will grow up day by day to play harder than anyone else, move around the pitch better than anyone else, and inspire teammates more aloud than anyone else!
Baseball team
Under the slogan “Riku-Ryoku-Kyo-Shin”, which means cooperating and making one solid team, we are moving forward together with the six new members for making progress toward the finals of the Intercity Baseball Tournament and the national corporate baseball championship.
Ryui Okada
His strong point is pitching. He throws the ball in an aggressive stance with a sharply curved slider.

Yuma Mitani
He had participated in Koshien (Japan’s annual high school baseball championship) when he was a student at Ryukoku University Heian High School. He always takes a look around and gives good advice to the team members. He also holds an important position as a running coach.

Kaisei Takeuchi
He is a catcher with a powerful throw. In terms of batting, he always plays with his full of energy.

Takuro Zaiki
He had been selected as a member of the Kyoto high school all-star selection and as one of the best nine players in the Kansai Six University Baseball Fall League when he was in university. He is a triple-threat player who excels at all three of the skills of running, hitting, and fielding. He is also known as a clutch hitter.

Soseki Nishinari
His strong point is the powerful straight ball thrown down from his tall height.

Sho Moriyama
He was selected as a member of the Kyoto high school all-star selection when he was in high school. His strong point is the straight ball with graceful pitching form. He is also athletic and a hard worker.
