Shimadzu Received Awards at China’s Largest Analytical Instruments Summit (ACCSI2024)

Shimadzu (China) Co., Ltd. (SSL), which manages Shimadzu products and services in China, received 3i awards at the China Scientific Instrument Development Annual Conference (ACCSI). This summit is hosted by Yiqi xinxi wang, an exclusive web portal for analytical instruments in China. This article is a report from an employee on site who attended the awards ceremony.

 

Annual MVP in the Analytical Instruments Industry, Selected by 300 People

This was the 17th year for the China Scientific Instrument Development Annual Conference (ACCSI), China’s largest summit for the analytical instruments industry. ACCSI2024 was participated by 1,500 people including government personnel, university personnel, and professionals. Together they held lively discussions on the themes of "Fusing Innovation and Quality and Leading the Future."

During the session, a 3i (innovative, interactive, and integrative) awards ceremony was held. SSL was awarded four prizes: the Best New Product Award, Popular Equipment Award, Leading Company Award, and Digital Marketing Case Award.

These awards are given to outstanding companies and instruments spearheading the development of analytical technology. They are selected by professionals and 300 visitors to Yiqi xinxi wang.

 

Best New Product Award
AIRsight Infrared Raman Microscope

AIRsight is an infrared microscope that incorporates a Raman spectrometer, enabling two types of analysis (infrared measurements and Raman measurements) with a single microscope. The user can switch between modes with the click of a button without moving the sample. In addition to trace contaminant analysis and quality control in fields such as chemistry, electrical machinery and electronics, as well as machines and transportation equipment, it is useful for researching microplastics, which is a social problem.

A total of 12 instruments including the AIRsight were honored, from a total of 526 nominated instruments.

GCMS-QP2020 NX Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer

GCMS-QP2020 NX is a gas chromatograph mass spectrometer featuring both heightened sensitivity and reduced operating costs. It is useful for analysis in the fields of food products, chemistry, flavorings, and forensic medicine; for the analysis of metabolic components; for the monitoring of trace compounds; and for the development/evaluation of high-performance raw materials and chemical products.

The winning instruments were selected by number of times they were accessed on Yiqi xinxi wang and by the number of inquiries.

Companies were evaluated on their proactive societal initiatives in addition to their degree of popularity and the strength of their impact in the analytical instruments industry. A total of 26 companies including SSL were honored, from 176 nominated companies.

The evaluators looked at SSL’s actions such as the hosting of webinars for scientists; the deployment of import fairs attended by more than half a million people all over the world; and live broadcasts.
