The Integration of Two Sales Subsidiaries In Australia.
To drive sales growth to 10.0 Billion Yen in the Oceania Region by 2028
Shimadzu Corporation is establishing Shimadzu Oceania Pty. Ltd. (SOP) by integrating the sales subsidiaries in Australia on April 1, 2025. In Australia, Shimadzu Scientific Instruments Oceania Pty. Ltd. (SOPS), a sales subsidiary for analytical and measuring instruments, was established in 1991, and Shimadzu Medical Systems Oceania Pty. Ltd .(SOPM) a sales subsidiary for medical systems, was established in 1996. As business activities have expanded, both companies are being integrated as Shimadzu Oceania Pty. Ltd. (SOP). With the establishment of this new company, Shimadzu will enhance corporate governance while working to boost customer satisfaction by offering comprehensive solutions, with a focus on analytical and measuring instruments as well as medical systems, in the Oceania region. Please note that SOP will operate under the umbrella of Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) Pte. Ltd. (Singapore), Shimadzu’s regional headquarters for Asia, and aims to achieve sales of around 10.0 billion yen in 2028, which is approximately 1.4 times the value for 2023.
