Identifying Plastics

The Law for Recycling Plastic Materials was enacted in April 2023 and raised public awareness about recycling, but there are still many remaining problems with collecting and recycling plastics. Even in the case of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles, which are frequently recycled, the bottles are often contaminated with non-PET plastics. Therefore, in addition to sorting plastics for collection, even plastics that are already recycled must be analyzed to identify their composition.
