Humidity-Controlled Observation and Force Curve Measurements of a Nafion® Film
Changes in the shape of the surface of a Nafion® film due to changes in humidity were observed at humidity values between 10 and 80 %. It was evident that the film expanded due to moisture absorption.
After the probe had made contact with the sample surface, it was gradually separated from the sample. At this point, a force curve measurement was also performed by measuring the force acting between the probe and sample.
The adhesion force increased rapidly when the humidity changed from 40 to 50 %.
