What are the QPMS advantages compared to the magnetic field type?

The only GCMS work, that QP type cannot do but the magnetic field type can, is work using millimass (accurate determination of mass numbers to several places after the decimal point). Concretely speaking, this work includes determination of molecular composition and analyses, such as dioxin analysis, using high resolution. All other types of work are possible using QPMS.

Compared to the magnetic field method, QPMS can be used by people without extensive MS knowledge and the operations are easy. These are the greatest advantages of QPMS. From a global viewpoint, the magnetic field method is coming to be used less and less in analyses other than the cases described above. QPMS, which can easily provide analysis results, is coming into broader use instead.
