Mao Saigo, Professional Golfer Supported by Shimadzu Corporation,
Places 3rd in the Amundi Evian Championship
Professional golfer Mao Saigo, who is sponsored by Shimadzu, tied for 3rd in the Amundi Evian Championship, the 4th major championship on the US LPGA tour, held at the Evian Resort Golf Club in France from July 21 to 24.
Saigo started the final day in 15th place, 9 strokes behind the leader. She continued her momentum of 6 under the day before to make birdies and mark the day's best score of 64. With a total of 15 under, she holed out in provisional lead. The winner was a Canadian, Brooke Henderson. Saigo was 2 strokes back, but tied for an impressive 3rd place. In her third appearance in a major tournament, she was already contending for the championship. We would like to thank everyone for their support.
Next, she will appear in the AIG Women’s Open on August 4th.
