Ooiri Hyakutaro-Studio Hyakutaro Ooiri, the Successor to the Founder
The term “kyo-ji” can be found in the Shosoin documents dating back to the Nara period. Beginning from transcription and hand copying sutras, we have adapted to the changing demands of the times, and are now involved in various types of work, including bookbinding, restoration, and preservation. Ooiri is a kyo-ji that has handed down traditional skills to the present day, and we continue playing a role in the modern age.
